I am coming to NYC next week and would like some reccomendations on hotels to check out...I already have reservations at the Financial District Hampton Inn where I will be staying, but I am very %26#39;into%26#39; luxury hotels and resorts and plan on going to see some lobbies and possibly have tea. I alreayd plan on going to the St. Regis, but where else? I%26#39;d also like to see some of the more modern, hip hotels, such as the W, so please make reccomendations of both historical and modern luxury properties.

Depends on what you like to do....There%26#39;s always the Feinstein%26#39;s at the Regency on Park Avenue where they have famous singers from another area. It is relatively expensive...some shows go for up to
40$ with a two drink minimum. It can be a bargain depending on the singer.

Closest to your hotel would be the Ritz Carlton Battery Park. The Rise bar there has views of the Statue of Liberty.
