Anyone sayed here can tell me what it is like visited in april but stayed somewhere else but cannot get in there so taking my 2 daughters for a treat and wondered what this hotel was like - location etc......
Skyline hotel
You should go see the reviews on this site and others because they are not too tender with this hotel. The location is not a very nice one. You have to take the bus or a cab, depending on the ages of your daughters. If you are good walkers, it is a good walk to anything you want to see. The only upsides I see for you are the prices, which seem not too steep, and the fact that they have an indoor pool. If your daughters are not adults, this is something they would like. If you are looking for a pool, there%26#39;s always the QT hotel near Times square. You have the Millenium hilton in the financial district near ground zero which has a pool and has good specials if you can catch them.
Skyline hotel
Not the worst option but not the best either. Where are you looking? If it%26#39;s for this summer, check travelzoo.com for specials.
The Skyline isn%26#39;t %26#39;that%26#39; far out of the way, but I think it%26#39;s more popular with folks who arrive by car, as they offer discount parking for guests. But I%26#39;d definitely compare prices at hotels that are closer to public transport. What time of year are you planning to visit and how old are your girls?
I did not realize they had cheap parking. gillmcg, this location is not too bad. There is the M50 bus that goes back and forth on 49th and 50th Street. You%26#39;d then be able to connect to the 1/9 or NR train quite easily. However, this is a no-frills basic hotel. I wouldn%26#39;t classify it as a ';treat';.
