Lol....ok here%26#39;s the scoop.

If you will be here within the next week or so, you have a 40% hardmark at Saks. (The smaller price written below the crossed out original). You take an additional 30% off that.

You%26#39;d be amazed how it easy it is to do in your head down to the penny.

Bergdorfs takes the thinking out of it for you, they just do a 2nd hardmark on the price tag. Similiar discount to above, but no math.

As for boutiques, Versace is at 1/2 off, Chanel is 40%, Ralph Lauren just did a second markdown (30% off of 40).

Excluding Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Tiffany%26#39;s more or less every high end boutique is somewhere in the 40% ballpark.

If you are lucky enough to be in the city in the immediate near future, cancel the trip to Woodbury, and spare yourself the indignance of Century 21 digging, there are plenty of designer bargains lurking out there coming directly from the source.

Yeah...I must say, this season is really good even by New York standards. I live here so I get to shop the sales every season so markdowns aren%26#39;t as exciting as they once were. But this summer I certainly did indulge in a healthy dose of designer gluttony which was long overdue.

Now I just need to find a place for all the shoes.

it%26#39;s pretty much the same schedule every year. Spring Summer is mid to late June, and then for Fall Winter, late december. And for Sample Sales Spring Summer is mid April early May, and the Fall Winter ones are most often in November.

I%26#39;m hoping my boss leaves early today...there%26#39;s a pair of pants I left behind at Saks.

I%26#39;ll be in town July 7-14. Any upcoming sale I should look for?

another good web site for sales is http://www.fashionweekdaily.com. click on ';fashion calendar'; in small letters on the top left of the page. they list designer sample sales, store openings, etc.

Manolo Blahnik usually runs their sale right after (or day before) 4th of July weekend. AMAZING markdowns. They close during lunch for restocking. Locate on 54th between Fifth and Sixth Ave.
