Next week I%26#39;m heading on my first trip to New York. We%26#39;re going to be hitting some hot spots like Spice Market and Tao. The trip is a vacation but I also have one lunch meeting at Mortons.
Can I get away without packing a suit or will I be the only person in Mortons not wearing a suit? I imagine it attracts a lunch time business crowd. How would business casual go over?
And how about places like Spice Market and Tao? I%26#39;m actually going to see Madonna the same nice I%26#39;m going to Spice Market. Jeans ok? Obviously I won%26#39;t dress like I%26#39;m going to a ball game...
Any advice?

what to wear
Mark,
One thing that you will find in NYC is that people are dressed in a variety of ways where ever you go.
I%26#39;m sure that Business casual would get you through Mortons.
Jeans and a nice shirt with good shoes should get you through Spice Market and Tao. They are both very trendy restaurants.
I know some people don%26#39;t think you should wear jeans, I personally think a great pair of say True Religion or Deisel Jeans( or something similar) are alot more fashionable then a pair of Dockers. Just remember to dress them up!
what to wear
from the morton%26#39;s website:
What is the dress code at Morton%26#39;s?
We recommend business attire or smart casual wear at Morton%26#39;s. For men, a collared shirt and dress pants are appropriate, while a jacket and tie are not necessary, though many of our male guests will be wearing a men%26#39;s business suit. For women, business wear or nice casual attire would be most comfortable. Jeans, T-shirts, shorts and sandals are not recommended for dining at Morton%26#39;s.
regarding spice market and tao, it is perefectly fine to wear jeans as long as you look nice in general. a lot of guys just wear jeans and a button down shirt. so you%26#39;ll be perfectly fine as long as you just look good! :) it%26#39;s not a ';dressy'; place.
