We are landing at JFK next week at around 7pm. How can we get to 5 West 63rd Street, the West Side YMCA? What is best in terms of cost, time and ease of travel?
Thanks,

Best in cost is the subway, but you%26#39;ll have to transfer and carry your your bags up some stairs. There are various options to this choice.
Best in time and ease of travel is most probably a taxi. Flat fare $45 + tip %26amp; tolls. I would recommend this.

If you don%26#39;t have much luggage and can manage stairs with whatever you%26#39;re carrying, take the AirTrain to the E train subway. Get out at 8th ave. %26amp; 50th st. There either take a taxi the short distance or transfer to the C train for 1 stop to Columbus Circle, but you%26#39;ll still have to walk 4-5 blocks.
Subway will cost $7/person from JFK. Cab from 50th st. perhaps another $5-6 so total for 2 ~ $20.
OR AirTrain to Long Island Railroad for $12/person and then taxi about $34 total.
Thank you Iddev and NYWhiz.....wonderful ideas. Got to see how much stuff we take, that will probably be the deciding factor. I would like to keep it to one carry on bag, dream on! I understand it%26#39;s very hot and humid. I appreciate you all being there!!
