Dylan%26#39;s is right near Bloomingdales and lots of other stores. If you%26#39;;re going to be in the area anyway, it doesn%26#39;t take that long to stop in. I think it also depends on whether you have kids with you. Somehow I think adults appreciate Economy more b/c it%26#39;s sort of nostalgic whereas Dylan%26#39;s is glitzy and appeals to kids (I think).

Economy absolutely-but they are two totally different kinds of stores. Dylans is,as another poster put it,glitzy-high end candy or at least high end prices. Economy has some of everything at great prices. You can fill bags of candy,they have novelty items,they have boxed candy,they have nuts and dried fruits,lots of different things. I wouldn%26#39;t call it nostalgic,it%26#39;s not like they have a soda fountain but it is a New York kinda place and Dylans is a fancy mall kinda place.

Great point, disfaninnyc. Going to Economy Candy is like visiting a distant relative%26#39;s jam-packed attic or basement and going on a treasure hunt! They%26#39;ve got stuff floor-to-ceiling!
