NYC theater district restaurants-help deciding

Hello, could any of you help me with a decision for pre-theater dining? I have narrowed it down to Chez Josephine, Luxia, or Pomaire. Although, I%26#39;m open to other suggestions in the area. We%26#39;re planning on eating at The Modern (if we get in) the next night so we don%26#39;t want anything too similar to that. We like all kinds of food and price isn%26#39;t much of an issue.

Thank you for your help.

Well I didn%26#39;t care for Pomaire at all and neither did Bettina. I don%26#39;t know Luxia. Chez Josephine is very nice and I like the live music but it doesn%26#39;t start until later I think. Is this before or after theater or neither?

Thanks for your input. This will be pre-theater dining.

For pre theater I think there are lots of good options. I%26#39;ve read the reviews on Luxia and there%26#39;s a theme of poor or slow service, esp. pre theater. Sounds like a good option for a more relaxed meal. If you want French food, Le Madeleine has a prix fixe as well as reg. menu. I think it%26#39;s better value than Chez Josephine but I can%26#39;t deny the ambiance of CJ is very good (although I prefer it late night).

For Italian, I like Orso or Lattanzi on restaurant row. Barbetta (same block) has a beautiful garden if it%26#39;s not too hot.

Thalia is a good option if your theater is in the high 40s/low 50s. They also have a good value prix fixe.

Thanks again for the suggestions. It%26#39;s so helpful when you leave the web address!

Menupages.com will give you info on almost any restaurant. If it has a website, they%26#39;ll give you that too. ;)
