Milford Plaza - is it a choice of location over quality

Can anyone offer a bit of advice?

Milford Plaza - is it a choice of location over quality

For me if it is a choice over location vs. quality, quality will win every time! Besides, it is easy to get around in Manhattan so you don%26#39;t need to be near Times Square!

heard bad things.

I just stayed at Hotel Edison around the corner and was very satisfied.

Agree with Sue on this one, quality every time - the public transport system in NYC is fantastic and generally you%26#39;re never to far from a subway so location doesn%26#39;t mean much - beside%26#39;s I prefer to stay away from TS and the hustle and bustle -look at the Upper West Side - good value hotel is the Newton www.thenewtonhotel.com (subway right outside takes 15 mins approx to TS) or Tribeca the hotel Cosmopolitan www.cosmohotel.com another good budget accomodation and again about 15 mins from TS - Chinatown, Soho, Financial District all within walking distance.

If you post your budget others will be able to help more with accommodation the two places I%26#39;ve mentioned are where I%26#39;ve stayed at.

I agree with the others-definitely quality over location. The transport system is amazing so you don%26#39;t have to stay in Times Square. Personally I think it is better to stay out of it anyway as the other areas are so much nicer

Dowlo -

Times Square may have fewer prostitutes than it used to, but that doesn%26#39;t mean that it%26#39;s a great location - find yourself a different location and better value for your dollars. Your trip will be much more enjoyable for it.

Interesting timing... I just opened a fortune cookie that says:

';Life is too short to sleep in a crappy hotel.';

Voy--that is great! What wonderful advice--I couldn%26#39;t agree more!

Your fortune cookie said ';crappy?';

Bad location, bad hotel, even the outside is sad looking :(
