Was looking for some advice. I have stayed at the Sarartoga holiday in a few times and agress that it is a really nice Holiday inn and the pool is great. I am travelling htere in a a couple weeks and wondering if I should try the Saratoga Hotel (was the Prime). the reviews seem all over rthe place as they have been renovating, but the hotel claims renovations to all but the restaurant are done. The rooms look really nice online. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

The new Saratoga hotel or the the Holiday Inn?I have stayed at the prime hotel (saratoga hotel 2x) and both times were a nightmare.

I hope I%26#39;m not too late. First of all- yes concessions can be made due to the fact that they are undergoing renovations. BUT what you really need to know is that this is THE place in saratoga for conventions. The first time I stayed there, there was a youth basketball tournement also staying in the hotel.
the second time i stayed there, there was a youth christian retreat . there were hundreds of children running around, playing on the elevator and screaming in the halls. We were one of maybe two other guests staying at the hotel that were not a part of this group. waiting for the elevator was a trial, and there was more than one occasion where i was knocked over by the hordes. the management did nothing to control them, nor did they have the courtesy to let us know what we were in for.
On top of this, the rooms look nice but they are dirty. both times i stayed there were large stains on the linens, and in one of the bathrooms the front of the toilet was broken from where the bathroom door would rub up against it. cheaply and hastily put together is my impression.
this hotel has the facade of a stylish business class hotel, but it falls short. Iam getting married in saratoga next summer and had considered blocking rooms there. I%26#39;m booking at the Holiday Inn.
