I have had the belvedere booked for months and was perfectly fine with that, but....I just found a rate at the hilton garden inn times square that would save me almost $200!!! So, I guess this is a dumb question, but is there any reason that I shouldn%26#39;t switch?? I%26#39;ve read the reviews here and they both rate pretty well. The only thing I can think of is that I%26#39;m not guaranteed 2 beds at HGI, but are you really ever guaranteed what you reserve?
I guess I%26#39;m just nervous about changing since I leave in about a week!

The 2 hotels are virtually across from each other so there%26#39;s no difference in location. I%26#39;d say the only real difference is the rooms at the Belvedere have a small kitchenete with fridge and microwave. Depends on whether that%26#39;s worth $200 to you. Not sure I understand the concern about number of beds. If you%26#39;re booking a room for 3 or more people, they have to give you enough beds to accomodate your party. If you%26#39;re 2 and would just prefer 2 beds and that%26#39;s the make or break issue, phone them. Are you guaranteed the 2 beds at the Belvedere?

In case you didn%26#39;t realize it, leo, the Hilton Garden Inn rooms also have a microwave, mini-fridge and coffee-maker... enjoy spending that ';new'; $200 :-)
Good info CC. ;)
Thanks for the support! I think I just needed some backup on my decision.
My thing about the beds is that I%26#39;m travelling with my sister so we would prefer 2 beds. At the Belvedere, I chose a room rate for 2 beds. At the HGI, I get a ';room assigned at check-in';.
Don%26#39;t worry, I%26#39;ve got plenty of ideas for that $200!
Leo, call the Garden Inn directly -- if you haven%26#39;t already -- to make a specific request for the 2 beds, explaining that you%26#39;re traveling with your sister. If they promise it to you, ask for an e-mail confirmation of that. If they won%26#39;t guarantee it, send an e-mail request so it%26#39;s there (and hopefully kept on file) before you arrive.
