Car service = $35 - $5 coupon + tip + tolls (I don%26#39;t know how much tolls are...)
Taxi = I have no idea. The range I%26#39;ve seen listed on Frommers is $17-$37 +tip + toll.
I am arriving at 9 at night at LGA (Frontier airlines...not sure which terminal that is if that makles a diff) and need to get to Times Square.
Which will be cheaper? Thanks.
Car or taxi from LGA --%26gt; Times Sq?
If you%26#39;re traveling alone, you might want to consider the Airport Express bus for $12/person to Port Authority bus terminal (near Times Square).
Since there%26#39;s not a fixed rate between LGA and Manhattan, traffic affects the price of the trip by taxi. It can be anywhere from $25-35 depending on traffic and route taken. The toll (whether car service or taxi) is ~$4 unless you take the 59th st bridge in which case there%26#39;s no toll. At 9 pm, there shouldn%26#39;t be much traffic and I would take a taxi.

I think it is way easier to get a cab at LaGuardia. I just took one from LGA to the area by Penn station and it was $27 + tip.......that included the tolls of $4.50. They are easy to get you just walk outside and there is a line for the cabs..........I have heard people say cars forget to pick them up and it seems like more of a hassle.......I did take a car on the way back to the airport%26#39; through the hotel and it was nice....they were lined up in front of my hotel,.....I did find when it rains, it is real hard to find a cab in NYC.....they are full! LOL
Have a good trip!
I would definitely just take a taxi - there is a taxi stand right outside the baggage claim - it%26#39;s the easiest choice, in my opinion. Have fun!
OK, sounds like a plan. :)
Took Carmel Car Service last time when I was arriving at JFK and they were cheaper than a taxi, but it doesn%26#39;t look like it from LGA.
Taxi it is! :)
i agree, definitely a cab. the average price from la guardia to times square will be anywhere from $26 to $28.
