I%26#39;ve read a number of posts on the topic and hear the recommendation to go early and book tickets ahead of time - but I just want to make sure I%26#39;m booking the right tickets. Is Circle Line the right place to book? Or is that something else? The website I%26#39;m looking at is statuereservations.com. I%26#39;m also confused about the time stamping - because it doesn%26#39;t appear to allow a time selection. Can anyone clarify for me before I buy?
Finally, there%26#39;s an option for the audio tour. We haven%26#39;t typcially boughy an audio tour at other sites we%26#39;ve visited - but should we for this one?
Thanks for your help.
Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Tickets
Circle Line is the ferry service that is contracted to bring tourists to the national sites. You can purchase tickets at Battery park. It will be difficult to see both sites during the same day.
Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Tickets
I was thinking that we%26#39;d be able to see both the statue and Ellis island in the morning. Now I%26#39;m worried that I haven%26#39;t planned well. Do others think it will take more than a half day? I was thinking about an hour at each place.
You should be able to do both the Statute and Ellis Island in half a day.
You might want to read http://www.nps.gov/elis/ to see what interests you.
Mike - half a day is plenty of time to do both.
When booking your tickets, you need to click on ';Submit'; before you get the option to put in the time of the tour that you wish to go on. Don%26#39;t forget that it is the tour that is timed NOT the ferry.
I believe the audio tour is only essential for Ellis Island. If you take the Monument tour at Liberty Island, rangers give you a very informative commentary as you walk around.
