Culture and a Little Taste of Heaven: Day 4

This was our day of culture, the Museum of Modern Art and the Broadway show, ';The Producers';. We walked to the museum and actually had no problem finding it. We had to wait outside in line for about 10 minutes which afforded some good people watching as everyone was heading for work. How do you lovely New York ladies walk in those cool pointy toed shoes??? I%26#39;m in awe and so want a pair but boy, would I stick out here!

The museum was wonderful! I couldn%26#39;t believe I was actually looking at so many famous paintings that I%26#39;d seen all my life in books. We also had our second celebrity sighting....Thom Yorke lead singer of the group Radiohead was heading into the museum cafe with his wife/girlfriend and a baby. My husband loves them so he was quite excited.

After the museum, we wandered down the street and there was Burger Heaven which I remembered got good reviews on this site. It was lunch time and it was packed with business people which was so exciting for us...I loved looking at everyone in their work clothes. So many beautiful beautiful people in expensive, elegant clothes. One thing I haven%26#39;t mentioned is the noise level no matter where you go. Restaurants, pubs, bars, etc. are far noisier then anywhere I%26#39;ve ever experienced. People talk a lot louder too. We just loved it all.....it was so much a part of our experience in the city. The food was ok. I would go back for the atmosphere, especially on a weekday at lunch time but the food was pretty ordinary.

That night we went to see The Producers and loved every minute. After, we sampled chocolate shakes in Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins which weren%26#39;t as thick as we like them. (We tried a different Baskin Robbins on another night and they were perfect). LOL , can you tell we%26#39;re not into fancy food??

Anyway, it was another wonderful day in paradise...more to come

Culture and a Little Taste of Heaven: Day 4

Continue to enjoy your reports. You have been doing very well with celebrity sightings! On the noise--there are just a lot of people everywhere which brings up the noise level and we do tend to speak loudly and fast.

Culture and a Little Taste of Heaven: Day 4

What? A whole day of not tripping over anything? I%26#39;m so disappointed :)

Sounds like you%26#39;re having a great trip. So glad you enjoyed our city - I still do every day. Ta. MMM!

Thanks again for another great installment. Glad you enjoyed the museum and the show.
