Places a teenager would like to shop

Any suggestions on areas of New York where there are lots of shops that teenagers would enjoy? I know that is a broad question. Would it be worth taking a tour to help find the spots or are they pretty well concentrated in certain areas?

She would like to go to DKNY for example....any others?

The main areas are Union Square, Broadway from 14th St. to Houston, 6th Avenue from 14th to 23rd Street, and Soho.

Oh, I forgot: 34th Street from Madison Ave to 8th Avenue, with a stop at Manhattan Mall and Macy%26#39;s.

We recently returned from our first trip and our 14 year old son LOVED the adidas store and urban outfitters. He also got a kick out of Toys R Us on Time Square though he%26#39;s just too cool to admit it! ;)
