Question about Gray's Papaya

On our trip to New York in August , I really want to experience a New York hot dog. However, I dont eat beef. I do eat all other kinds of meat. Are there any non-beef (pork/turkey/chicken) hot dogs served in Gray%26#39;s Papaya?

A California friend joined for our last outing at the Carnegie Deli. She fell in love with the pastrami. I later heard her telling someone about how great the pastrami was, and that it didn%26#39;t taste like ';regular pork.'; She was devastated when I broke the news that pastrami was beef. But she can%26#39;t wait for her next pastrami sandwich.

Anyway, you%26#39;ll find plenty of great treats. Just avoid Gray%26#39;s Papaya, the Carnegie Deli and Katz%26#39;s!

that%26#39;s definitely too bad you%26#39;ll miss out on the gray%26#39;s papaya dogs! but if you are in the mood for a great ';hot dog,'; crif dogs on st. mark%26#39;s place has vegan ones as well as awesome tater tots! and there are so many different kinds of toppings. it%26#39;s a fun, casual spot that%26#39;s busy really late-night because it%26#39;s a great place to eat your way out of a hangover. :) so if you%26#39;re in the neighborhood, check it out.

As another pp said, I would avoid any Jewish restaurants/deli%26#39;s if you don%26#39;t eat beef because they are all beef dogs. I personally only eat the beef dogs, and I can%26#39;t get enough of Gray%26#39;s Papaya%26#39;s! Sorry you%26#39;ll have to miss out on them! Most of the dogs you%26#39;ll find in the city will either be all beef or a mix of beef and pork, so I%26#39;d ask before you eat any hot dog anywhere. The vegan dogs are a great tip, I%26#39;ll have to check that out on my next visit! Maybe try a vendor cart with hot dogs, they might have pork/chicken dogs at a great price with any number of toppings available. Nathan%26#39;s and Sabrett%26#39;s are all beef too, in case you see those along the way. Oh how I love a Nathan%26#39;s! Good luck and have a great visit!

I just find it interesting that you eat pork %26amp; not beef-can I ask why, or am I being too presumptuous?
