How Long To Yankee Stadium

We%26#39;re staying at hotel Elysee and on 9/1 have a Yankee Stadium tour schedule at noon, and then a game that same night at 7:00.

First, from our hotel how would you go to the stadium? Second, how long will it take to get there and back to the hotel?

We%26#39;d like to come back to the hotel, maybe check out some attractions close to it then go to the game, but not sure how much time we%26#39;ll have and if its even worth it?

For you locals, would you spend the afternoon hanging out in the Bronx or head back to the city after the tour then go back to the bronx for the game?

How Long To Yankee Stadium

Take the 4 train (express train) uptown from 59th street to the stadium. It%26#39;s about 30 minutes or so. You can head back to the city after your tour or go to Arthur Ave for a good lunch (Good Italian Food)

Take the subway. There are 2 lines that go to Yankee stadium, one on the east side--#4 (nearest entrance for you would be at Bloomingdales on 59th st %26amp; Lexingonton) and on the west side the D train. To use that, you%26#39;d get the E train on Fifth Ave. %26amp; 53 st, go 3 stops west to 7th ave. and change for the D train. Either way it should take about 35-40 mins.

It%26#39;s definitely worth doing something else inbetween your tour and the night game. The tour is only an hour. The things of interest in the Bronx (the zoo, the botanic gardens, Arthur Ave.etc.) are not near the stadium. If any of those interest you, you can do that but will have to use the subway to get around.

One thing to consider is using the Yankee Clipper ferry to get TO the game in the evening. Might be a fun boat ride.

It is less than a 30 minute train ride so consider going back to the hotel and to check out things of interest in the area before going back to the Stadium. .It would take 30 minutes or more to get to the zoo, botanical garden or Arthur Avenue for lunch. To get to these places would require a subway and bus ride. .
