2 day stopover in NYC - some tips? shopping? sushi?

Hi,

I%26#39;ll stop over in NYC with a friend of mine for two days soon, mainly to see the new Madonna tour...and, well it%26#39;s my first time there so could you give me some advice?

well, we%26#39;ve got two full days and we intend not to strain ourselves with loads of sightseeing, but rather have a good time, for my part the only things i definitely need to see is the skyline from the top of the empire state buildung and visit the battery park museum of jewish heritage because i%26#39;ve got a relative working there who%26#39;ll show us around.

one thing i also like to do is going shopping, are there any designer outlets in the NYC area you could recommend or stores where you can get designer clothing below 5th ave RSP?

regarding food, could you recommend some good places to get japanese food like sushi?

greetings from vienna and thx for your answers!!!

Put ';Top of the Rock'; on your list. Its the newly opened 70th floor of the Rockefeller Center.

yup, shop at Century 21, just in front of Ground Zero.

Sushi Recommendations: (reasonably priced)

Haru: Multiple locations throughout the city: www.harusushi.com

Umi Sushi: tiny place, excellent fresh sushi: 118 East 31st St (between Park Ave and Lexington Ave)

Aji Sushi: also small place but great sushi: 519 3rd Ave

(A bit more expensive, but worth it if you can get in):

Sushi of Gari: 402 East 78th St.

Enjoy!
