Too late for Broadway??

I am bringing my two teen-age daughters to New York City for the first time on July 11th.

I%26#39;d like to get us Broadway tickets...thinking of Lion King. My dilemma is I doubt there is time to order them on-line and have them mailed to me (don%26#39;t trust our post in Canada that much!).

Is it standard to order them and pick them up before the play?

Thanks in advance!

Too late for Broadway??

HI, LAKERJ

I believe Ticketmaster offers their TicketFast option for this show: e-mail tix you print off on your computer... I%26#39;ve never had a problem with this free service.

Too late for Broadway??

If the email option is available, that%26#39;s a good way to get your tickets without waiting (I%26#39;ve used it a couple of times), but it is also quite common (and easy) to place your order and specify ';will call';, which means that you will pick up the tickets at the box office before the show.

Go to www.broadwaybox.com for discount tickets in advance. If the time is too short to mail the tickets, you can pick them up at the box office of the theater when in NYC.

It%26#39;s not too late for tix but Lion King is still very popular. You won%26#39;t find discounts for it on broadwaybox or at the TKTS booth. I agree, if you can get tix through ticketmaster.com either print them out on your computer or pick them up at the box office the day of the performance.

Have fun!

Hi, I ordered tickets from Ticketmaster for The Drowsy Chaperone and received them Canada Post about a week later, I had the option of picking them up at the box office. I also ordered tickets from broadwaybox.com for Altar Boyz and will pick those up at the theatre.

Have a great time, I will be bringing my 16 year old daughter the following week for our first New York trip and we are so................excited!!!!!!!

Thank-you everyone for your replies....I hadn%26#39;t thought about the printable ticket option!

Ticketmaster will not e-mail tickets to Canada....don%26#39;t know why.

They will only send them by standard post. I%26#39;m nervous about this option...I may be gone before they arrive! They will not let you use the ';will call'; option either unless you%26#39;re from outside North America.

Broadwaybox.com wouldn%26#39;t let me get past the page about getting cancellation insurance.

Any other suggestions??

Thanks!

Do you have any friends in the US who would be willing to book and print your tickets and you could send them a check? They could then fax them to you. They don%26#39;t have to be ';originals';...I was so paranoid about losing my Wicked tickets I made 3 copies and stashed them in different bags.

lakerj---We ordered tickets for Jersey Boys and asked that they be mailed to us and we got them within 5 days. I think you will have your tickets in plenty of time. Warmwinds---I know what you mean--I worry about leaving the tickets at home. You bet I%26#39;ll be double checking before we leave home LOL!

I just remembered something, lakerj: a couple of years ago, I was unable to complete an online purchase of tickets for a concert in Nashville. I called Ticketmaster, did the order by phone -- giving them my e-mail address, and was sent the email tix.

So perhaps you can make the Lion King tix purchase the same way. Hit the Help tab at the top of Ticketmaster%26#39;s home page to get a phone contact number.

And if you find out why Canadian residents can%26#39;t simply get the email tix via the web site, I hope you%26#39;ll report back on their rationale :-)
