Manhattan mall

Hi,I was wondering if anybody has any experience of the mall,and do they recommend it?

thanks in advance

Manhattan mall

I%26#39;d take a pass.

There are so many great stores in NYC, I wouldn%26#39;t bother with this mall. I went in at christmas time for the first time in years only because I needed to go to a toy store.

For shopping I%26#39;d go to Macy%26#39;s, Barney%26#39;s, Saks, Bloomingdales for discounted things Century 21, Filenes basement The list goes on.

I wouldn%26#39;t take any time to go into The Manhattan Mall.

Depends on who you are and what you want. There are a lot of inexpensive places under one roof for young and trendy stuff. I think H %26amp; M is probably as good if not better and there%26#39;s one nearby.

i would definitely not go to the manhattan mall. there%26#39;s nothing special there at all really for either locals or tourists. if you do want to go a mall-like place that has indoor shops, check out the time warner center at columbus circle. they have amazing restaurants in there and the building itself and the views are beautiful.

Thanks all for replies I appreciate it

In my household the Manhattan Mall is known as the ';Mall of America'; for a joke because it is so small and nothing like the real Mall of America which is reputed to be the biggest mall in the USA and is somewhere in the midwest i believe? Having said that i do go on occasion when i need a food-court fix and also there%26#39;s a radio shack there i like.

The only reason to go would be for the elevator ride. There is a glass elevator that runs along the outside of the building at the Herald Square corner. Get in and move to the back of the elevator and watch yourself rise above the streets, the traffic and all the other folk. Then, take it right back down and out. It%26#39;s fun!

We accidently ended up in the mall after leaving the subway and we had a heck of a time getting back out! It%26#39;s just a typical American mall with a subway under it.

The whole building used to be a single store (with no atrium): Gimbel Brothers (better known as Gimbel%26#39;s). The proximity to Macy%26#39;s, and the similarity between the stores, led to the proverbial expression for a refusing to reveal an advantageious bit of information to a possible rival ';Does Macy%26#39;s tell Gimbel%26#39;s?';

I would forget about the Manhattan mall nothing realy there. Instead if you want to visit a NYC mall try the malls at South Street Seaport or the AOL building.

I dont think this mall should take the name ';Manhattan';. I was so disappointed last time I went in. Small, and nothing special at all.
