Bus Tour

Hi,

Which bus tour do you recommend? I have looked at thr 48 hour hop off and on. But the thing is it finishes at 5:30. Thats a bit to soon, considering you want to hop of at locations for sightseeing.

Also does it stop at Brookly Bridge

What are you recommendations?

And is there a subway next to the main station where you hop on

My recommendation is that you take either the Marvelous Manhattan or Party Shuttle tour to orient yourself: they both get rave reviews here at TA (although I think the fact that Marvelous Manhattan has a lunch stop at Katz%26#39;s Deli gives it the edge) and use mini-buses with the same guide staying with you all the way.

Having done that, skip the hop off/hop on tour and purchase an Unlimited Ride Metrocard ($24 for a 7-day pass) to use our transit system to return to those sights you saw on the tour you%26#39;d like to spend more time at %26amp; to explore new destinations.

I also urge folks to join at least 1, more in-depth tour, such as the one of Grand Central Station or a visit to the Tenement Museum; we have so many which are free or reasonably-priced %26amp; they%26#39;re a grreat way to enhance your appreciation of a piece of NYC. Bus Tour

Oops, onkar, I replied here before I saw your other post saying you%26#39;ll be traveling with an infant which means imo that a lengthy bus tour isn%26#39;t right for you. You do need greater flexibility, and the hop off/on bus loop will give you that. And yes, the downtown loop includes a stop at City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge. The Grayline company%26#39;s visitor center is on 8th Ave., between 47th %26amp; 48th Streets, so the #1 subway station at 49th would be quite convenient.

I%26#39;m hoping queensblvd or one of our other lLocal Experts can retrieve some trip reports from those who%26#39;ve visited here with a baby as I think those could be an especially valuable resource for you.
