I am curious about opinions on this property we just booked it through priceline.. It is perfect location for us but concerned about some of the things I have read.. Thanks
Anyone know anything about the Grand Hyatt New York..
';concerned about some of the things I have read.. ';
The only negatives I see are small rooms and overpriced. Since you ';booked through Priceline...'; assuming you got a great price so won%26#39;t feel you got ripped off. The location is convenient.
Anyone know anything about the Grand Hyatt New York..
Shelly, I stayed at the Grand Hyatt two years ago with a group (6 rooms) and we had a fine experience. It is a very large, convention type hotel. Ours rooms were perfectly fine and quite large actually. I read the bad reviews on this site and must tell you that we did not experience anything bad at al. The location is great what with Grand Central Station practically right next door and lots of little delis around. We did not eat at the Hyatt, found our food elsewhere, so I can%26#39;t tell you about that, but we had no trouble there.
I have stayed there several times and have had nothing but positive experiences. The rooms, in my opinion, are larger than average and the location is excellent. Also, the lobby is huge and gives you a great place to ';hang out'; during inclimate weather.
Overall, a very good place to stay

We stayed there last December. Not my favorite hotel but not horrible by any means. Rooms are small for what you pay but most are in NYC. Great location.
One of the complaints on Trip Advisor is the price. Some guy paid $649 a night....which is obscene except for anything but the Ritz, Mandarin or Trump.... Since you paid priceline rates, price is probably not an issue.
I have stayed there. Rooms are average size and decent for New York but not huge. My room was immaculate as was the hallway. I asked for a room on a Club floor and even though mine was a priceline purchase, the hotel gave it to me, also I asked for a room with two queen beds and got that too at no extra charge. I joined the Hyatt%26#39;s Guest Club in advance, and I thought service was fine.
Others in the TA reviews have complained about spotty service, so that is something to keep in mind.
All in all, it is a good hotel in a great location.
I think Voy%26#39;s point about joining their frequent guest program is a good one. That%26#39;s always a benefit. Do it online right away.
Stayed there in January, through priceline and it was great. It is very much a convention type hotel (and I mean that as a compliment). You can%26#39;t beat the location it is attached to Grand Central. There are plenty of places nearby on Lexington. The lobby is great. The only thing I found weird was that they didn%26#39;t have any mini-bars, which saved me about $40.
