How much difference is there in the two cruises? With my 3 year old , I think that the 2 hrs cruise may be too much to keep him entertained. Also, I know we have to show up 45mins prior to departure.
Does the 75 mins cruise give decent views of Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline? I do want a memorable cruise.
Any advice from people who have been on these cruises will be appreciated. Thanks.
2 hrs Semi Circle cruise versus 75 mins Liberty CruiseAssuming you mean the difference b/w the half circle or the full circle cruise, I agree, the shorter one is better with a toddler (even that might be too much). Yes, you%26#39;ll see the Statue of Liberty with the shorter cruise. The shorter one covers the south end of the island.
There are some other boat rides that might be better with a 3 yr old. The NY Water Taxi has a hop on/off ticket for getting around so you don%26#39;t need to sit for too long.

The harbor lights tour at sunset is also nice.
2 hrs Semi Circle cruise versus 75 mins Liberty CruiseThe 2 hour cruise sails down the Hudson to the tip of Manhattan and then up the East River sailing under the three bridges connecting Manhattan to Brooklyn and you sail as far as the UN. At the UN the ship turns around and heads back to the dock
The 75 minute cruise goes as far as the tip of Manhattan before heading back to the dock.
Both offer the same view of the Statue.
There is a three hour cruise that sails around the island of Manhattan.
Thanks for the advice.
Nywhiz - I think you are mixing up with the 3 hrs cruise versus the 2 hrs cruise. I was referring to the 75 mins Liberty Cruise which I found on the circleline website. So the 75 mins versus the 2 hrs. Nobody seems to talk about the 75 mins cruise so I was curious.
Lets us what works out best for us.
Thanks again.
You will be better with the 75 minutes one. I had a friend who lived in NY for a couple of years and I decided one time that I went to visit him that I would take the cruise around Manhattan. He told me to take the shorter one because the more interesting things (lower New York and the Statue of liberty) is on that run. I disagreed with him and decided to take the longer one. I had spent the night on the bus from Montreal to NY and went on the cruise at lunch time. Well.........I slept most of the time like you see people sleeping on the subway....you know the ones whose head fall constantly and who look foolish...well that was me and I regretted my long cruise. The more interesting things to see like I said are part of the shorter cruise. Especially with a toddler, you should go with the shorter one!
