What's weather like??

Arriving in 2 weeks time and never been to NY in summer before (always Easter) Just wondering what weather is like at minute and what it%26#39;s likely to be in 2 wks time!! (What should I pack!!!)

What's weather like??

Disgustingly humid.

What's weather like??

Is it likely to spoil our trip??

How you feel about heat? Canadian friends of mine (who, it must be said, shiver through much of the year) can%26#39;t get enough heat and humidity. They love it....LIVE for it....spend every holiday in the tropics!

I, who grew up in New Orleans, am wretched and miserable the moment the temperature tops 72 degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees Celsius). So summer is my least favorite season in NYC. In July and August, the city%26#39;s afternoon highs range from, I would say, 85 to 95 F (29 to 35 C).

The good news is, all hotels, bars, restaurants, museums, and stores are superbly air conditioned. Don%26#39;t forget to hydrate, and if you%26#39;re going to be outside a lot, wear a lightweight cap on sunny days.

Wishing you a good trip!

It%26#39;ll only spoil your trip if you let it.

Embrace the sweat! Let it flow!!

Sadly this policy is not looked upon kindly at my place of employment.

rca - LOL!!

Buba - here are two good posts and sub-posts about weather, what to wear (basically, shorts, comfortable shoes and sunscreen), and helpful hints.

Definitely bring/buy sunscreen, even on hazy, cloudy days you will get burned.

Bring sunscreen, hat with visor, and moist towlettes.

And - enjoy it! Museums are fabulous in this kind of weather!

Ta. MMM!
