Hello NewYorkers,
leaving at the end of the month for NYC. Third time already to NYC.
Family of 4.
Staying in the Kitano Hotel. Any info other than the reviews already posted, on this hotel and the area ? Seems they have a good but expensive japanese restaurant on site ?
The hotel is advising Spectacular Limo for the trip from JFK to the hotel. Any personal experiences with this company ?
Thanks a lot for the info.
B.A.Greeters must be high in demand. Tried to book one since more than a month. Got a reply that they are fully booked.
Mat.
request info Kitano hotel.
I%26#39;ve never seen the guest rooms, but the Kitano is well regarded and it%26#39;s convenient to the subway (42nd St.), and close to 5th Avenue shopping. Asia de Cuba is a popular restaurant that%26#39;s nearby. Also Artisinal for terrific fondue and other bistro fare.
request info Kitano hotel.
Thanks Bettina,
my 19 year old daughter will be particularly interested in the fact that 5the Avenue Shopping is nearby.

That Limo company is great i had a great ride. i was first time caller and got upgraded to a stretch limo. driver made me feel like a star.
Wolfang%26#39;s is a couple of blocks away and I promised myself that I would try to go there at the end of the month when I%26#39;m supposed to be in New York (let%26#39;s hope that I find a nice hotel). Artisanal is another restaurant I promised myself I would try to check out.
You would be nice to come back with info about the Kitano because this is an area I like to stay in.
I%26#39;ve been to Wolfgang%26#39;s twice. First time it was heavenly!! Couldn%26#39;t say enough good things about it! Second time is was disappoinitng. Blah steaks and bad seats. I%26#39;ll probably go back again one day, but if the steaks are flavorless, I%26#39;d send them back saying they don%26#39;t live up to their reputation.
Artisinal is pricey, but really nice!
Fifth Avenue shopping is more high end, fyi.
The restaurant at the Kitano is very good.
The Kitano is in a very nice area (Murray Hill), and seems to be popular with Japanese travelers. It is also near the newly-reopened Morgan Library (www.morganlibrary.org).
