NYC Nightlife Please Help :)

Hi, I am from NYC but I am only 20 years old. A guy friend of mine from school is coming to visit N.Y. next month and he has shown me around in New Orleans so I want to do the same for him in N.Y. My problem is that I know that many events or fun evening activities are for the 21 and up crowd and although my friend is old enough to get in, I would like suggestions of things to do or where to go that would be fun for the both of us to do at night.

-I know this question is broad but I am looking for any suggestions. I know where we can walk around at night but I want actual things to do, like going to certain clubs, comedy shows, etc.

Ok, will recommend my usual : Cafe Wha and The Comedy Cellar on MacDougal St.

As you know the Greenwich Village area is where I would go for your age group.

Keep in mind that you can always go to the top of the Empire State Building or the Top of the Rock until about 11 pm. Great nightime thrills! The city looks like a jewelry box!

Another classic NYC thing to do is go to a piano bar or caberet. Sure, it might sound ';old fashioned'; and dorky, but it%26#39;s a pretty good value and you%26#39;re sure to see some good talent.

For off-beat comedy, try the Upright Citizens Brigade improv shows. Kind of a gamble. Could be really hilarious, or could be lame. Late shows have well-known writers. They let in people under 21.

Mo Pitkins House of Satisfaction and the Bowery Poetry Club (both in the East Village) have an assortment of weird shows. Spoken word, performance art, comedy - who knows? Email them to see if they allow under 21.
