We are two parents with two adult children coming to see some shows on Broadway (yes we already purchased thediscounted tickets thru broadwaybox.com).
We have stayed in the past at the Doubletree at Times square, and enjoyed it. I wonder if there are any alternative Suite hotels in the area? We would like to have the two rooms seperated by a door, for privacy. We look for a good quality hotel. We do not care for the lobby or the room service but it must be new and clean.
The alternative of taking two regular room is good, but expensive, as in July each room will start at $250... for a total of $500 per night! The Doubletree goes for $275-320
Any ideas?
Suites Hotel in Theater District
The other options close to the theaters are the Blakely Hotel (has some 1 %26amp; possibly 2 bedrooms) and the Rihga Royal which is under construction but an excellent hotel (and people claim no disturbance from the construction). They were running special pricing on travelzoo.com but may be full now. These are both about 10 blocks north. The Affinia Manhattan is another one that%26#39;s about 15 blocks south. But I wonder if the children are adults, will they want to sleep on a sofabed and more importantly share a bed? A 1 bedroom suite might have 2 beds in the bedroom (usually 1 queen or king) and a sofabed for 1 or 2 in the living room. Sounds like you need a 2 bedroom suite or 2 separate rooms.
There are many more suite hotels on the east side. That location would require a longer walk or using bus or subway or taxi. The San Carlos, the Kimberly and the Affinia 50 are all decent suite hotels in the east 50s and some of them have 2 bedroom suites.

I should have mentioned in the east side location, the Best Western Hospitality is a good value suite hotel and has some 2 bedroom suites. Don%26#39;t know if it will look new enough for you.
The Marriott Residence Inn recently opened up on 6th Avenue,might be worth looking into.Check www.travelzoo.com,you could find a deal.
