anyone have an opinion on the oasis motor inn?

i live in the area and while i%26#39;ve never stayed (and never would) stay at the oasis in my opinion would be that you could find something a LOT better.

depends what you want to be near, purpose of your visit, etc

Dont stay there. There are some really cute places to stay in Oneonta that are not mentioned on tripadvisor. Christophers Inn is a hotel that each room is set up like log cabin it is in the heart of Oneonta. On the other side of Oneonta is Knotts on the Lake which are rooms on a beautiful lake. That is where my family always stayed when visiting me at Oneonta State, not many people know about it. Hope this helps:)

Oneonta has some outstanding places to stay. The Oasis Motor Inn would be good if there%26#39;s nothing else. If there are better places available, check them out.

As someone who works in Oneonta and lives near the city, I know I%26#39;ve heard a lot of others talk about better places (although, I believe, visiting teams of the Oneonta Tigers stay at the Oasis).

The new Clarion on Main St. is really nice. There is also a Hampton Inn located on River St. and was built not long ago. This hotel is right downtown and near any night life.

On the outskirts of the city is a Holiday Inn, which isn%26#39;t too bad. A bowling alley is right next to that hotel. It used to have a lively bar, but I don%26#39;t believe it is anymore.

There are other hotels and motels as well, which are decent. Some are in surrounding communities which offer a really nice look at the area. Cooperstown has a bunch of hotels, including a couple new ones of national chains (Howard Johnson, Holiday Inn Express).
