BAG Question

Single, male friend travelling to East Coast in October. A couple of days only in New York. I have suggested that he book a BAG.

My concern now is that he may be ';taking'; a greeter ';away'; from a larger group who really needs one, if you get my drift.

I suppose the question is ';Is it selfish for a single person to book a greeter?';

What do the experts here think?

BAG Question

I%26#39;m certainly no expert, but I don%26#39;t think it selfish in the slightest for a single traveller to request a Greeter. I hope he%26#39;s lucky enough to get one. Fingers crossed.

BAG Question

I agree with Karen. Everyone is entitled to be shown round the city, it%26#39;s not his fault he%26#39;s on his own....single travellers already get penalised enough - I say go for it!

It ranges from 1 - 6 people, so it is no problem, and is it selfish, absolutely not.

I%26#39;m a Greeter, and I frequently show single visitors around. Please tell your friend he%26#39;s absolutely not ';taking a greeter away'; from anyone.

I%26#39;d think a single person would be especially deserving of a BAG.

Anyone who applies is deserving of a BAG, there is no formula for who gets one or not, no one is more deserving than another.

im going to ny solo- and have applied for BAG and no i didn%26#39;t think i was being selfish!! i thought im entitled to a BAG greeter as much as other groups. :o)

Thanks for the reassurance everyone.

He will apply as soon as he has sorted out his accommodation.

Needless to say that I am green with envy and have asked to see the size of the bag he is taking. After all I have been going to the gym every morning and just might fit into a largish suitcase!!!! :)
