Family Trip

I am headed to NYC in late September with my 36-year old sister and my step-mother for a long weekend. I am 32-years old from Charleston, SC. Last year, my husband and I spent a week and loved it. We are both gourmet cooks and my husband works in the wine industry, so we spent most of our time in restaurants and bars. I need to plan someting a little different for this trip. While my family is slight ly sophisticated, they do not enjoy $300 dinners and $20 martinis quite the way my husband and I do. I want them to have a good time, but do not want them to be uncomfortable, nor do I want to do anything overly, ';touristy';. Any suggestions for hotel, restuarants, shows, etc.? Thanks.
