What to wear in NyC inJuly

I was wondering what the attire is in NYC durning the Hot summer months? I would like to fit in instead of look like the typical tourist. I guess I leave my flowered shirts at home. (LOL) Any advice would be appreciated.

We%26#39;ve been in NYC numerous times in the summer. We wear what%26#39;s comfortable including shorts and tennis shoes. Never an issue on fitting in. If you%26#39;re going to a nice restaurant or a show wear business casual clothes and you are good. Simple as that. See you there this summer:)

I agree---don%26#39;t worry about fitting in. NYC is a very diverse place thus you will see all types of clothing. So just dress comfortably when out sightseeing. For dinner--it depends on where you go--if you are going for upscale dining, then pack accordingly. Otherwise, for most places casual is ok, or business casual.

Light weight clothing, comfortable shoes and lots of sunscreen for the day. Spiff it up a little for evenings. Wear what makes you feel good. A light sweater might be a good idea to take along if you will be indoors for portions of your day/evening. The air conditioning can get downright chilly even in the warmest of weather.

Sorry to say Sono, but you could wear an NYPD or FDNY uniform and we will still spot you like Where%26#39;s Waldo! Lol, jk sort of. Jean shorts, plain t if you%26#39;re a guy/girl. Generally speaking the tourists seem to wear brighter colors than the locals. Just my opinion.

Basically as little and as comfortable as possible.It will be hot.. But indoors will be cool due to A/C so carry a light sweater....

Many visitors often report that NYCers ';don%26#39;t wear shorts';!! That is because we are working/going to school during weekdays, not on vacation.
